Timber View Puppies

One Of Central Illinois Top Bernese Mountain Dog Breeders

About Us

Greetings from Duane and Naomi Otto and our five wonderful children. Along with our family, we are privileged to raise Mini Goldendoodle and AKC-registered Bernese Mountain dog puppies. We all live together in what we like to think is a small slice of heaven near Arcola in central Illinois.

We emphasize accountability and quality without compromise. We are registered with or licensed under the following agency: The Illinois State Department of Agriculture. We have been Licensed in good standing since 2017. We also work closely with our local Arthur, Illinois Graham Veterinary Clinic, to whom we would like to extend a huge thanks for providing consistent excellent health care for our adult dogs and puppies. All our adult dogs are registered either with AKC purebred or ICA for the designer breeds. We also have completed OFA and genetic health testing with many of our adults.

We, Duane and Naomi, both grew up on farms with typical farm animals and with a love for animals. Duane’s boyhood home had horses, ponies, chickens, rabbits, and dogs. Duane learned his love for puppies at a young age when a neighbor’s dog came down and had puppies at his place, and he got to take care of them and feed them. From then on, he has always enjoyed puppies. I, Naomi, was always outside with the animals when I was growing up. That was my passion. We were on a dairy farm. We also did fieldwork, so we had horses. I enjoyed spending time with the puppies the most.

Our childhood love for dogs has extended into our adulthood, and with our children showing strong interest as well, we have made it a true family affair. We call our rural homestead Timber View because of the inspiring views of standing timber behind our home. We, as a family, choose Bernese Mountain Dogs and Mini Golden Doodle because they are fun-loving, playful, gentle, well-tempered, and great companions.

Our children play an important role in the care and upbringing of our litters. Like mother, like daughter, every morning, the first thing our youngest girl wants to do is spend time with the puppies. The girls are our socializers. Our eldest daughter likes to play ‘doctor’ (veterinarian) with our puppies. Our middle daughter has taken an interest in training and often will take the puppies on walks and teach them little tricks like shaking. The two oldest children, both boys, love brushing and bathing the dogs and giving them occasional treats.

If you are exploring the possibility of adopting a puppy, we welcome visits by appointment only. You may ask to tour Timber View Puppies, but before doing so you must demonstrate genuine interest in adopting a puppy and an understanding and knowledge of how the puppy might fit well into your household environment and lifestyle.

We thank you for visiting us. We, along with our friend Sarah who takes all the calls, texts, emails, and schedules visits, are at your service to help you on your journey to find the best puppy for you and the special people in your life.
